CREW CHANGES SPECIAL PROCEDURE DURING COVID19 EMERGENCY 

 The following procedure applies for passengers with nationalities that does not require visa: 

→ Any person entering Ecuador must arrive with a negative RT-PCR test or antigen test performed up to three (3) days prior arrival at Ecuador or the vaccination certificate against COVID-19. In case the passenger does not present any of the options, authorities will not permit the entrance to the country. 

→ The off signers must take the PCR test at arrival and must wait for results at hotel or on board (from 24 to 36 hours) to be repatriated. If the result of PCR is positive must remain isolated at the hotel for 10 days. 

→ Cost of the PCR test $150 per pax (approx.) 

Important: A special permit will be required for embarkation/disembarkation, for this procedure officials need 5 working days before arrival in order to get all arrangements. 

Requirements for the special permit: 

→ Scan passport 

→ Seamen book 

→ Flight details 

→ Crew list (excel file) 

 Visa application 

Nationalities that requires visa: Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Cameroon, North Korea, Cuba, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Filipinas, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, India, Iraq, Iran, Kenia, Libya, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal, Syria, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Venezuela, Vietnam & Yemen. 

Visas must be arranged at origin or at any Ecuadorian embassy around the world.

→ Visa Application Form – https://www.consuladovirtual.gob.ec/web/guest/inicio 

→ Passport with a minimum validity of 6 months 

→ Economic solvency through bank account statements, bank certificates or credit card statements who applies for the visa
